The Tamagotchi Uni launched in 2023 as the very first worldwide release. The Uni, whose name means UNIQUE, UNITED, and UNIVERSAL offers Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing for software updates and downloadable content. Like the Smart, the Uni is rechargeable via USB-C, and it includes an optional wrist band for wearing the device like a watch. It does not feature the Smart’s touchscreen nor microphone.
