The second licensed Tamagotchi was the Doraemontchi, based on the Doraemon franchise. These shells resemble the faces of the titular Doraemon and his sister Dorami. They both feature small bells, something that remains unique to this release. The Doraemon version saw a re-release in 2006 as a tie-in with the film Doraemon: Nobita's Dinosaur 2006.
