Tamagotchi Pix, the second Western color-screen Tamagotchi and the first to be released initially outside of Japan, is the follow-up to the On, adding two unique physical features: a camera, allowing the player to take photos with their Tamagotchi, and a touch-based button row, allowing new gestures in addition to button presses. The Tamagotchi Pix launched July 1, 2021. There were four standard shells and two updated “Pix Party” models released a year later.
